Apparently because it has CGI and Russell Brand is in it? WTF-ever. I think it looks awesome.

The thing that I've found most encouraging, actually, is the way Caliban looks -- I've found that Caliban's design is a pretty reliable guideline for the quality of any given production, because if they get him right it means they probably understand the play reasonably well.

Actually, in the first article I read most of the hate seems to be that the trailer is badly edited? But then a lot of it also seems to stem from basic herd mindset, "oh it got some bad reviews that means I must say it will be terrible, not having even seen it yet!" type stuff. Plus the requisite "WARGH WHY DOESN'T PROSPERA HAVE A PENIS" whinging. Aurgh. Ignore me, I'm just angry.

NGL, the presence of Russell Brand gave me pause, but the sheer awesomeness of Helen Mirren cancels that out. XD I'm looking forward to this!
